AED

• The operating system of the AED Meditronic. The AED (Automated External Defibrillator), connects the electrode stickers that produce electric shocks, to the human body. The device features, besides the power switch, a button to be connected, which automatically analyzes the electrocardiogram and a button for applying electric shock through electrode pads.

• The Automated External Defibrillator (AED, in Portuguese) is a medical device that does automatic analysis of ventricular fibrillation and if necessary applies electric shock (defibrillation), thus assisting the return of heart function. Despite being a defibrillation device, it has fully automatic handling, so you need not be trained, nor connected to the field of medicine.
